Some people buy things on impulse. I buy things after weeks of browser tabs, Reddit threads, YouTube deep-dives, and a spreadsheet I’ll never look at again. Welcome to Overthought.
This is where all that research goes. Honest, experience-based reviews from someone who actually paid for the stuff, lives with it, and isn’t shy about saying when something doesn’t deliver. No PR samples. No affiliate-first thinking. Not yet, anyway — if brands want to send me free stuff, please do. Just know I’ll tell the truth regardless.
I’m Chris. Dad of two, perpetually tired, based in the UK. I write about gear, gadgets, the outdoors, and whatever else I’ve spent too long thinking about. If something’s genuinely good I’ll tell you why. If it’s not, I’ll tell you that too.
Some posts contain affiliate links. I’ll never link to anything I don’t genuinely rate — but if you buy through one, I get a few quid and you get my thanks. Seems fair.
Overthought exists because most reviews are either suspiciously positive or written by someone who had the product for 48 hours. I’ve been using half this stuff for months. That counts for something.
